Honorable Shri Priya Ranjan IFS, Joint Secretary, INM, MIDH, MoAFW, New Delhi visited ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow on 28.02.2023. Dr. T. Damodaran, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow welcomed the guest with a bouquet, gave a presentation on overview of the Institute. He also briefed about the research activities of the Institute with prime focus on varieties of mandate crops, area expansion and highlighted the impactful technologies developed, commercialized and narrated the success stories of these technologies to the Joint Secretary. Dr. Damodaran, Director, ICAR-CISH emphasized on green planting material, natural farming besides cluster development and accomplishments of the processing units, tribal developmental programs undertaken at the Regional Research Station, Malda, West Bengal. Joint Secretary addressed the scientists and appreciated their remarkable achievements in subtropical horticulture and emphasized the need for outreach and translation of the technologies to the farmer’s field. Shri Ranjan advised the Institute to take up Clean Plant Program with special emphasis on disease free quality planting material. The meeting ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. D. Pandey, Head Incharge, Division of Crop Improvement and Biotechnology. The event for coordinated by Dr. P.L. Saroj, Head Incharge, Division of Crop Production, After the Interactive meeting, Ranjan Ji visited the museum of the Institute and he was taken around the experimental fields of the Institute. Dr. Damodaran, Director said that this visit of the Joint Secretary was useful motivating factor for the Institute Scientist.
भाकृअनुप-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान,लखनऊ में दिनांक 28.02.2023 को माननीय श्री प्रिय रंजन आईएफएस संयुक्त सचिव, आईएनएम, एमआईडीएच, एमओएएफडब्ल्यू, नई दिल्ली ने संस्थान का दौरा किया। डॉ. टी. दामोदरन, निदेशक, भाकृअनुप-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ ने गुलदस्ता भेंट कर अतिथियों का स्वागत किया और संस्थान की उपलब्धियों पर एक प्रस्तुति दी। उन्होंने संस्थान की अनुसंधान गतिविधियों के बारे में भी जानकारी दी, जिसमें प्रमुख फसलों की किस्मों, क्षेत्र विस्तार पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया! संस्थान द्वारा विकसित, व्यवसायीकृत और प्रभावी प्रौद्योगिकियों पर प्रकाश डाला और संयुक्त सचिव को इन प्रौधोगिकियों की सफलता की कहानियों के बारे में बताया । डॉ. दामोदरन, ने हरित रोपण सामग्री, प्राकृतिक खेती के अलावा क्लस्टर विकास और प्रसंस्करण इकाइयों की उपलब्धियों, और क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र, मालदा, पश्चिम बंगाल में किए गए जनजातीय विकास कार्यक्रमों पर जोर दिया। संयुक्त सचिव ने वैज्ञानिकों को संबोधित किया और उपोष्ण बागवानी क्षेत्रो में उनकी उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धियों की सराहना की और किसानों तक प्रौद्योगिकियों की पहुंच की आवश्यकता पर विशेष बल दिया। श्री रंजन ने संस्थान को सलाह दी कि वह रोग मुक्त गुणवत्ता वाली रोपण सामग्री पर विशेष जोर देते हुए स्वस्थ पौध कार्यक्रम शुरू करे। डॉ. डी. पांडेय प्रभारी, फसल सुधार एवं जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग द्वारा औपचारिक धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव के साथ बैठक समाप्त हुई। कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन डॉ. पी.एल. सरोज प्रभारी फसल उत्पादन विभाग ने किया । बैठक के बाद, रंजन जी ने संस्थान के संग्रहालय का दौरा किया और उन्हें संस्थान के प्रायोगिक क्षेत्रों में ले जाया गया। डॉ. दामोदरन, निदेशक ने कहा कि संयुक्त सचिव का यह दौरा संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको के लिए उपयोगी था।
